Video pedagógico sobre la reserva de la biosfera de Mapimí, México: una innovación tecnológica educativa-socio-cultural

Abstract

Abstract Given the requirements of virtual environmental education for the sustainable development of the world, we created a bilingual (Spanish-French) pedagogic video on the protected natural area known as the Mapimí Biosphere Reserve. The main objectives were to present the characteristics of an ecosystem and its corresponding socio-ecosystem in a fragile semi-arid context, as well as to demonstrate the utility of a biosphere reserve in the context of the UNESCO program, Man and the Biosphere, forty years after its creation. The content of the video represents a technological and educational-sociocultural innovation that promotes sustainable development of arid zones, allows for the creativity of future researchers and stewards of natural resources and serves as material to disseminate the Mexican model of biosphere reserves.
