| Descripción : | This data set consists of two Excel spreadsheets in .xlsx format, the first containing the data catalog and the second the raw data of 7976 anonymous students from 2011 to 2017. cohorts of the undergraduate program in medicine, collected upon their enrollment through a survey and diagnostic test, as well as students’ records. The dataset comprises 47 categorical, discrete numerical or continuous numerical variables that were classified into nine groups: students’ demographics, family environment, socio-economic status, prior educational trajectory, students’ initial knowledge in eight subjects, including proficiency in Spanish and English, academic achievement in the first year and students’ identifier. This data set was used to perform the analyzes corresponding to the manuscript Predicting academic achievement and analyzing related attributes in first-year medical students: A comparison with artificial neural networks and Naïve Bayes. |
